Check templates

One API key per integration purpose, with its own defaults, retention, and callback.

What a template is

A check template (ApiClient in the API) is one API key scoped to one purpose. Most organisations hold several - an age-gate-only key for a website, a full ID+address key for onboarding, and so on - rather than one key that does everything for every integration.

Defaults a template carries

  1. Which checks run by default (ID check, proof of address, age verification) - a caller only needs to send reference_id and inherits these.
  2. Document retention per check type, off by default, and for how long if enabled (up to a 5-year ceiling).
  3. The age threshold for age verification, and whether a failed attempt escalates to a full ID check automatically.
  4. Whether results include extracted data directly in the callback, or need a separate pull.
